MCADV provides training sessions, special events and resource materials to all sectors of the community, including law enforcement, professional, civic groups, and services providers.  

Legal Services

MCADV provides legal services to victims of interpersonal violence associated with the shelter programs, such as family law matters and other non-tort legal services in a civil context. For more information, please visit our Legal Services page.


Public Awareness

MCADV conducts ongoing statewide media campaigns aimed at specific target audiences including action-oriented communications to victims and the public.  


Victim Referral Services

MCADV assists victims with referrals to local domestic violence shelters.  


Clearing House/ Resource Library

MCADV maintains information on domestic violence programs and services within Mississippi and provides statistics, resources and information free upon request.  



MCADV provides training, technical assistance, and support to member programs and coordinates efforts between programs and other community service agencies.

Domestic violence is a crime that not only impacts women. Men can be victims of violence at the hands of women. Violence also occurs between individuals of the same gender. However, for ease of written conversation on this website, the batterer will be referred to as “he” and the victim as “she.”
